In Minecraft, players can control blocky characters during the game with Steve and Alex being the default player skins in-game while Steve is considered to be a classic skin. Steve, however, is one of the most iconic avatar characters in modern gaming while Steve is more notable compared to Alex. He also has an ironic following.

Why This Fandom Is More Dangerous Than A Creeper

  1. They would think that Steve is an actual character when he is mostly is not. First off, the Minecraft player characters including Steve is basically an avatar-based character that can be customized by the player. Also, the player characters are one dimensional and have no actual personality meaning that we don't know much about the said Minecraft player characters. While there have been some characters that had followed the trope of being avatars, but have some type of backstory like Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening, the Minecraft avatars including Steve do not follow the same trope as Robin. Although you do have the Minecraft story mode characters like Jesse who is shown to be an actual character with customization as in the same level as Byleth from Fire Emblem Three Houses as well as having other characters that exist in Story Mode like Petra, Axel, Olivia and Lukas being non-customizable characters, but still.
  2. They don't just like Steve, they esteem him as if he was the Jesus Christ of modern gaming.
  3. Believe it or not, there is some disgusting fan art involving Steve.
  4. They would spam memes related to Steve such as Mine Diamonds or Grotesque Steve or even make terrible memes staring Steve.
  5. Before E3 2019, they would attack people who would want to see Banjo and Kazooie instead of Steve in Super Smash Bros. labeling people who wanted Banjo and Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. "Nostalgiatards" or in some cases "Furries" which is just stupid and offensive.
    • They will even use the Cringeworthy Grotesque Steve to attack those who want Banjo and Kazooie in Smash.
    • After Banjo and Kazooie were announced to join Super Smash Bros, many of the fans whined when the bear and bird duo joined the roster instead of Steve. Some would even go as far as making this dumb petition which will never work.
    • If you were to say why Steve is unlikely to be in Super Smash Bros, they will attack you to the point that they will block you.
    • Ironically enough, some of them are even part of the Nintendo Hatedom and/or even the Mario Hatedom.
  6. His fandom will attack people who don't like Steve or Minecraft itself.
  7. They are apart of many hatedoms including the already mentioned Nintendo Hatedom and the Mario Hatedom as well being part of the Terraria Hatedom, Roblox Hatedom, Fortnite Hatedom and the Sonic Hatedom.
  8. Hypocrisy: Many of them used to not like Steve but many of them pretend to like him.
  9. His fandom is full of little kids and edgelords
  10. They make some really dumb ships such as Steve x Herobrine or Steve x Creeper.
    • If that is not enough, they would manage to use OC or themselves to fell in love with Steve.
    • They even do crossover ships as well such as Steve x Roblox Avatar.
  11. Speaking of the The Crossover Community, they would shoehorn Steve on pretty much on anything. It does not help that Minecraft references did appear in some franchises like South Park, Rick and Morty, and Ready Player One. Here is a good example.
  12. Don't ever go to YouTube to look up videos related to Steve, you will find clickbait videos and really dumb videos staring Steve.
  13. Some would forget that other original Minecraft skins exist besides Steve like Alex.
  14. They even want Steve in Mortal Kombat 11.
  15. They give Steve a really bad name.
  16. They even make some really dumb theories related to Steve such as "Is Minecraft Steve a God?!" or they can even make disturbing theories as well.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Some sane and mature fans do exists.
  2. Not many hate Nintendo or anything not Minecraft related.
  3. Some agree that Steve is a terrible choice for a Super Smash Bros. character.
  4. Some are aware of other skins in Minecraft.
  5. There is still a lot of good fan art.
  6. Some memes can be funny.
  7. Some are happy about Banjo and Kazooie being in Super Smash Bros.
